Screening for Plagiarism Policy
JITER: Journal of Innovative Teaching and Educational Research is committed to ensuring the originality and integrity of all published works. Every manuscript submitted to the journal will undergo plagiarism screening as part of the initial editorial process.
The journal uses reliable plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin or iThenticate to identify similarities with previously published works. Authors are expected to ensure that their submissions are original and that all sources are properly cited.
The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%, excluding references, quotations, and commonly used phrases. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the level and nature of the similarity.
Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, duplication, or improper citation, is strictly prohibited. If plagiarism is detected at any stage—before or after publication—the journal will take appropriate action, including manuscript rejection, retraction of published articles, and notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions if necessary.
This policy is implemented to uphold academic integrity and maintain the quality of scholarly publishing.
